Easy Compsonites Cake Ingredients Cake flour: 3 tablespoons (120g) of this flour can be used for a gluten-free cake or other cakes that do not require a gluten free flour.
3 tablespoons (60g) can be substituted with the same amount of flour, but be sure to check your flour before using it for gluten-based cake mixes.
1 cup of sugar: 1/16 teaspoon of this sugar is fine to use for gluten free cake mixes, but not for gluten intolerant or gluten-inclusive cakes.
2 tablespoons of powdered sugar: 2 teaspoons of this powdered sugar can be added to any gluten-containing cake mix.
4 tablespoons (200g) cream cheese: 1 1/1 teaspoon of cream cheese is fine for a cake mix, but can also be used as an egg substitute for gluten based cakes.
2 tablespoons butter: 1 tablespoons of butter is fine.
Optional toppings: powdered sugar, milk chocolate or cream cheese icing Directions 1.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Beat the flour, sugar, and milk together until it is fluffy and fluffy peaks form.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition, until combined.
Add butter and continue beating until it begins to come together and form a smooth batter.
Add milk and continue mixing until it becomes very soft.
Add vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.
Add powdered sugar and mix with your hands until smooth.
Pour the batter into the prepared pans, then spread out the flour mixture evenly.
Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool completely.
To make the frosting, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it turns golden.
Add cream cheese and stir until combined, then whisk in powdered sugar.
Add cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add sugar and milk and whisk until incorporated into the frosted batter.
Place in the refrigerator to set.
To decorate, add icing, chocolate chips or a sprinkling of melted chocolate.
